HISTORY
After years of "spring training" and "winter swimming" for our Cullman Swim Team of the ARPA Park and Rec summer swim league, several families decided there was plenty of interest and need for building a USA swim team in Cullman, Alabama. In September of 2007 we started with about 12 swimmers at Nesmith Pool, grew to about 25 in a couple of months, and have a home at Sportfit's 25 yard, 4 lane indoor pool. Our head coach is Carson Glasscock, and he is assisted by Glenn Pilcher, Frank Odell, Jackie Donaldson and Nan Young. In the not so distant future, rapid growth in our USA program is expected as the city of Cullman is building a new facility which will include among other great features, a 6 lane indoor pool.

The mission of Cullman Swim Association is to provide the youth of our community with a USA Swim Club promoting the sport of swimming throughout the year. All team members are given the opportunity to pursue goals in the sport of swimming at their own personal level of ability and desire with the guidance and support from coaches, parents, and volunteers involved with this club. CSA strives to empower team members to be champions in and out of the water for a lifetime.

The geographic territory of Southeastern Swimming, Inc. is the state of Alabama, except the counties of Chamber and Russell; the State of Tennessee; in the State of Florida, the counties of Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, Walton, Holmes, Washington, Bay, and that portion of Jackson and Calhoun Counties west of the Apalachicola River. We participate in USA short course meets from September through April, typically in Birmingham, Madison, Huntsville, Tuscaloosa, Auburn, Scottsboro, Brentwood, and Chattanooga.

Beginning September 2, 2008, we will have registration for CSA. We are currently short on space and pool time, so unfortunately we have to limit our team to those with swim team experience. Please contact us at csaswimming@yahoo.com to get on the waiting list.
